What are the funds used for?
The initial costs for a new center/location are in the approximate range of USD 8000.- to 9000.- for a group of around 12 kids. Almost half of the costs go towards the necessary material - i.e. sports wheelchairs.
Should any kid - due to the physical condition or other reasons - not be able to play wheelchair tennis, our team tries to find appropriate alternative options of sports.
After the successful start in Bangalore specific requests from other parts/cities of India are already on the table.

... by participating in the Crowdfunding Project "IBIY"
A project of Swiss sports students support Nalani with a crowdfunding project on the web platform "I believe in you" to help Nalani prepare for qualifying for Tokyo. The funds will allow Nalani to participate in tournaments in Asia (Japan / Korea) in 2019 - tournamets that otherwise are not planning and budget. In addition, every sixth Swiss Franc of donation will go to Nalani's tennis project for children in wheelchairs in India, "The First Serve" - until the goal of CHF 6,000.- is reached.
Now all the additional money goes fully to the kids in India! Since the goal for the tournaments was already reached after one week, now all further donated money flows in full into the wheelchair sports project in India - fantastic! Many thanks to all who have supported this endeavor so far financially. And thanks to all of you who help making the projecet an even greater success with a donation or by forwardiing the link below and promoting the idea. Thank you so much. http://ibiy.net/NalaniBuob |
